We have a very exciting Engineering leadership opportunity within the Off Road Engineering Team. In this role, you will lead the Global Utility Engineering Team responsible for technical development and execution of our Utility Vehicle Product Lines (RANGER & Sportsman) and associated Parts & Accessories.

You will have responsibilities for leading and growing the technical capabilities of the Utility Engineering team. In addition to your direct team, you will partner closely with a large cross-functional global team to successfully execute the Utility programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Product Planning and Enterprise Program Management to establish long-range product plan, yearly budget, and overall technical execution plan for all Utility Products
  • Lead engineering design & development of future Utility Vehicles for Off-Road
  • Ensure Safety and Quality Standards are achieved and executed across the product portfolio.
  • Continually advance the engineering team, optimizing the structure and bringing in new capabilities to drive future growth plans
  • Champion and lead the technical execution of all Utility programs through the Product Development Process (PDP) ensuring all customer requirements are met (Quality, Performance & Cost), driving efficiency, and delivering new features and technology
  • Manage multimillion-dollar R&D budget driving productivity and efficiency
  • Benchmark Off Road Utility industry and parallel similar industries to drive learnings across the organization
  • Own product quality requirements and improvement plans for Off-Road Utility products
  • Support strategic long-range planning by working closely with the product planning team, sourcing, & operations
  • Identify and implement tools and processes to improve Utility Vehicle development
  • Ensure alignment across the organization including functional teams and the business
Education, Skills, and Experience required to be successful in the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
  • Must be an experienced leader of large global engineering teams (preferably multi-level & matrixed) with wide-ranging skills and experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing the development of complex systems and/or technologies following a well-defined process, preferably PDP
  • Highly collaborative and thrives in a matrixed environment. Enjoys working across functions and levels to achieve results
  • Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally (one week a month)
Desired Experience:
  • Experience leading vehicle development specific to Off Road or similar Products
  • Development of complex systems using systems engineering
  • Master's in Engineering or MBA
