General Manager - Plumbing Job at JMG Contracting

JMG is looking for a General Manager to run the plumbing portion of the business. This person will be responsible for maximizing the gross profit for the company and providing sound service by effectively managing the performance and productivity of the company employees. This candidate reports directly to the owners of the company. This individual may have to do minimal hands-on plumbing work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple project schedules and crew schedules, arrange appointments, job walks, meetings, etc.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule. Review schedules and progress frequently.
  • Coordinate with General Contractors' project team, Subcontractors, and our internal project team to ensure proper manpower allocation, material deliveries, and adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Visit various assigned project sites to check in with customers, verify installation progress and that installation is in accordance with plans and specifications.
  • Prepare and submit change orders to customers/vendors
  • Attending job walks, communicating with estimating team existing conditions from job walks.
  • Communicate with the estimating team and/or Director of Construction for required change order pricing on your assigned projects.
  • Obtain quotes from various vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors as necessary.
  • Assist with material take-offs and placing purchase orders.
  • Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of budgets.
  • Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of required weekly / monthly reporting related to work in progress, budgets, profit projections, manpower requirements, and financials.
  • Assist on conducting interviews & hiring staff
  • Documenting new procedures
  • Identify opportunities to expand or shift courses in order to take advantage of changes in the market.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • General Manager: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
