Jor-Mac is searching for General Laborers to join their team on 2nd shifts.

In this role, you would be primarily helping our Laser Operators de-nest and sort parts after being cut. You would also move and gather necessary materials and tools to perform each job.

Core hours for this position would be:

2nd Shift: 1:00pm - 11:00pm | Monday - Friday

Overtime as necessary/required based on workload.

Sign on Bonus Eligible -- Up to $1,500 offered for 2nd shift new hires!

Your additional duties would include:

• Assist in positioning and moving material for setups and machine operations.
• Helps operators with loading/unloading of parts.
• Properly completes inspection sheets and other paperwork.
• Transports materials and products to other areas throughout the organization.
• Operates pallet jacks and hand trucks to move materials.
• Maintains shop cleanliness by sweeping production areas.
• Gathers and distributes items as needed.
• Assists operators with various duties in order to reduce indirect hours among production employees.
• Adhere to all Jor-Mac and OSHA safety related work rules and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

In order to perform this job successfully, you must possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education (GED) and one to three month’s related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in a weld fabrication environment preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple correspondence.
• Ability to understand work orders and follow procedures.
• Ability to frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
