JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision and guidance of the Tribal Gaming Agency Director, represents the Nooksack Tribal Gaming Commission (NTGC) in a highly professional manner at all times. Monitors the gaming operation to ensure compliance with NTGC operating policy and procedures, preserves and protects the assets of the Nooksack Indian Tribe, and ensures the integrity of the gaming operation and experience. Monitors and ensures compliance with the Tribal Gaming Ordinance and Regulations, Tribal – State Compact.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures regulatory compliance with all applicable Tribal, Federal and State laws and regulations by monitoring, observing, reporting and taking appropriate action.
2. Detects and investigates regulatory issues, including but not limited to game protection, rules of play, and irregularities, and relevant laws.
3. Reviews existing and proposed regulations, controls, policies and standards for adherence and compliance with Federal, State and Tribal requirements.
4. Performs audits on operations to determine compliance with system of internal controls and regulations.
5. Assists in investigating and documenting variances, shortages and exceptions.
6. Utilizes and maintains systems, logs and other means to track and report gaming incidents and activities that are not normal to the operation, or are in violation of specific gaming procedures and regulations.
7. Enforces applicable law while maintaining a positive relationship with those impacted. Maintains positive relations with employees, management, and outside organizations and/or agencies.
8. Examines, tests, and inspects gaming equipment on a random basis as determined by the TGA Director.
9. Conducts barring of unwanted patrons as directed by the TGA Director.
10. Observes the conduct of games to ensure honesty and fairness to the patron as well as the Tribe.
11. Assists in loss prevention strategies in reference to Tribal assets.
12. Other duties as assigned by TGA Director.

· Indian Preference Policy applies to this and all positions with the Nooksack Indian Tribe.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications are requiredfor the incumbent to have, in order to be considered for the position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION:
· Associates of Arts Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration or a directly related field with two years of directly related experience, or;
· High School Diploma or General Education Degree and four years of related experience in table games, casino security and/or regulatory/investigative experience in law enforcement and/or military.
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES POSITION:
· Must be available to work various shifts (day/night) including weekends and holidays.
· Ability to preserve the confidentiality of all information and materials either generated or obtained while conducting inspections and performing all job responsibilities. Must up-hold the strictest confidentiality.
· Ability to learn, understand and apply the regulations as set forth by the Nooksack Tribal Gaming Commission.
· Ability to process information under pressure, including interviewing individuals, testifying during hearings and/or court proceedings related to gaming infractions or criminal investigations conducted by agents.
· Must be able to work independently, be detail oriented (written and verbal), and have a consistent attendance record, and exercise discretionary judgment.
· Must be able to resolve and/or refer problems by proper investigative techniques, including, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid irrefutable conclusions.
· Must have the ability to write reports and give effective presentations and responses to questions from managers, patrons, employees, and the general public.
· Must be able to travel to all Nooksack Tribal Gaming Facilities in order to fulfill staffing requirements as needed and as directed.
· Ability to learn or knowledge of known possible cheats and scams within the gaming industry.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Federal, State, Gaming Commission, management, co-workers and the general public.
REQUIRED CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
· Must pass alcohol/drug test upon job offer and throughout employment.
· Must pass criminal background check at time of hire and periodically thereafter.
· Must be able to pass a background investigation and maintain eligibility requirements throughout employment with the Nooksack Tribal Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.):
· Must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for entire shift.
· Ability to lift and carry upwards of 20 pounds on occasion.
· Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment including a 10-key, personal computer, fax and copier.
· Monitored by surveillance cameras.
· Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
· Must read, write and speak English.
· Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations with composure.
· Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip from assigned work areas.
· Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, bright lights, noise and enclosed areas.

The following qualifications are preferred/helpfulfor the incumbent who has these skills/knowledge or abilities for this position.
· Previous experience working with a Tribal Gaming Agency preferred.
· Knowledge of the Nooksack Tribal Gaming Ordinance preference.

Pay: $19.04 - $21.43 per hour
