We are looking for a Fund Controller for CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions ("CBRE IA&R"), you will work in an ambitious and growing environment. In this role, you will be assisting the Senior Controller in coordinating the (fund) reporting by keeping track of deadlines and deliverables, communicating with different internal and external stakeholders, and preparing and reviewing fund reporting (templates).
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Produces, reviews, and verifies financial information including investor funded and unfunded commitments, asset accrual methodology, and output, providing qualitative analysis and comments.
- Prepares periodic financial statements and assists with audit and tax preparation and review.
- Manages portfolio budgets, forecasts, and reports for clients/investors.
- Monitors financial performance and provides strategic advice to the leadership team.
- Assists with reviewing periodic P&L calculations at the fund and investor levels.
- Manages and operates the treasury, cash management, and accounting functions.
- Reviews system prepared reports and supporting schedules for accuracy.
- Reviews and signs-off on fund level bank account reconciliations.
- Assists with financial institutions, handling financing arrangements and execution of loan agreements.
- Prepares, analyzes, and reviews NAV calculations and financial packages for completion and accuracy.
- Updates and monitors daily trading, general ledger activity, and pricing of funds to ensure accuracy of daily NAV calculation.
- May serve as contact point for investors.
- Maintains shareholder registries and provides data for presentations.
- May design and prepare presentations on financials. Reviews/prepares IRR and performance models.
- Troubleshoots escalated issues and ensures requests are handled timely and accurately.
- No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or portfolio specific training to others.
Job requirements
- Bachelor/Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- 7+ years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Prior experience in fund level accounting preferred with real estate accounting or fund accounting software systems.
- Solid technical financial skills and intermediate knowledge of GAAP, FASB, REIS, IFRS, and in-region/in-country standards where applicable
- Knowledge of real estate terms, definitions, and real estate analytical methodology.
- Intermediate knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products).
- Ability to work in multiple accounting software applications.
- Strong coordinative skills and well-developed judgment
- Hands-on, accurate, and proactive
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues from different countries and cultures.

Fund Services Team
The Fund Services team is responsible for the financial reporting, budget, forecast, controlling, and cash flow planning for funds and separate accounts. The team is the link between the business, clients, finance, and Funds. The team fulfils an important function in supplying reliable and complete financial information and advice. The team carries out checks on the underlying data of the fund and is responsible for preparing reports to external stakeholders. Within CBRE IA&R the team has broad responsibilities including the preparation of liquidity forecasts, payment of dividends, budget forecast, and the preparation of various tax returns. In addition, the team provides functional management to asset finance departments within CBRE IA&R.

- California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $110,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $165,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
