he SpringHill Suites Oakland Airport is seeking a friendly and knowledgeable candidate to assist during daily Front Desk operations. A Front Desk Agent is responsible for conducting the first impressions with our guests, and therefore, must perform the following responsibilities and tasks to the highest standards:

  • This position requires a flexible schedule and candidate must be available to work any shift needed, including weekends and holidays.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
  • Manage online and phone reservations
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, amenities, and the locale
  • Understand thoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
  • Respond to clients’ complaints and resolve in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees
  • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
  • Follow and adhere to company brand standards
  • Assist other departments whenever necessary and maintain good working
  • relationships with team members

  • Desire to progress within the hospitality industry
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Previous supervisory experience in the hotel industry
  • Previous experience with Marriott brand hotel and FOSSE property management system
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Job Requirements:

  • Successful history as a front desk agent or related hospitality experience
  • Flexible Schedule
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Task-driven individual
  • Experience with Marriott reservations software, FOSSE, preferred
  • Customer service attitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
