Freight Team Member Job at Firehouse Pet Shop
Firehouse Pet Shop in Wenatchee, WA is looking for one part time freight team member to join our 23 person strong team. We are located on 17 S Wenatchee Ave.
- This position is for our freight team processing deliveries and is part time.
- We are looking to hire a long term employee, this is not a seasonal or short term position.
Responsibilities

*Welcomes customers by greeting them and offering assistance. *Directs customers by escorting them to our products. *Advises customers by providing information on products. *Unload and process merchandise deliveries *Must be able to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency *Maintains scheduling commitments *Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications

*Friendly and outgoing personality *Ability to problem solve as issues arise *Must be able to work weekends and some holidays *Must be timely and dependable *Attention to detail *Job is physically demanding, must be able to carry up to 50lbs and push or pull up to 300lbs (pallet or hand truck) multiple times a day. (Contact hiring manager for other physical requirements) *Must be a team player *Must love dogs and cats.....and people

We are blessed to have four amazing children, (and 4 fur-babies!) and they have enjoyed spending summers in the Wenatchee Valley so much we decided it was time to move! After almost 3 decades of successfully operating businesses for others, 2014 became the year in which we took the leap of faith to create our own dream! Being lifelong animal lovers, we wanted to create a business that would allow us to serve and give back to the community. Our vision was to break the mold of the boring and stale shopping experience of the typical pet store, and create a fun-themed, energy filled environment.
