Freelance- Host-3 Job at Howard University
The Talent Acquisition department hires qualified candidates to fill positions which contribute to the overall strategic success of Howard University. Hiring staff “for fit” makes significant contributions to Howard University’s overall mission.
BASIC FUNCTION: The host will be responsible for conducting interviews, introducing show elements and relaying information to program viewers.
- Assist in writing scripts, booking guests, and researching material as well.
- Participate in events –either station-sponsored or others – to promote the shows
- Willingness to promote the shows on personal social media accounts
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Articulate and charismatic, professional appearance
- A knack for writing is desirable
- Time-management skills
- The ability to meet deadlines is crucial
- Candidates should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments and thinking on their feet
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism. At least two years of relevant work experience is required. Other Qualifications
