Anderson Health Services is seeking a Full-Time employment
FosterCare Specialist (PartTime) for its Residential Programs. The position is responsible for collaborating with the nursing staff on ongoing assessment, planning, and evaluation of clients. The incumbent acts as a liaison between the client/family and healthcare personnel to ensure the necessary care are provided promptly and effectively.
FosterCare Specialist must have a complete understanding and will be accountable for all aspects of the Program.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivery of comprehensive foster care service to children and licensed families, including therapeutic foster care
- Facilitation of placements, associated visitation, case documentation, and reporting
- Responsible for associated program support, outreach, and recruitment
- Provide comprehensive pre-placement assessment updates and pre- and post-placement services to AHS clients or to clients of other agencies for whom AHS has contracted to provide services
- Maintain records of all licensed homes in caseload; make quarterly visits, frequent home, office, and telephone contacts
- Assist with the selection of homes for children as needed, make arrangements for respite care, and coordinate information about children before foster care placements
- Maintain monthly visitation and case management services for children in foster homes and provide them with comprehensive foster care services
- Provide therapeutic foster care placements with weekly clinical supervision, maintain authorizations, participate in treatment teams and other required meetings, and keep current all required Medicaid/MCO case documentation in the client database
- Enter data and required case documentation in the client database by the last day of the month
- Work to ensure that the medical needs of all children in foster placements are met.
- Preparation for annual visit from a representative of the State Department of Health and Human Services for agency re-licensing, MCO agent(s) for therapeutic foster care services, and in other licensing or regulatory entities
- Participate in the CQI process
- Participate in monthly and as-needed supervision with the supervisor
- Assist other programmatic staff in the provision of support services and social events for foster care families each year
- Display cultural sensitivity to the service population
Education Qualification
- BSW, MSW, or related human services degree from an accredited college or university required
- 1-3 years of child welfare services experience required
- 25 percent Travel required
- Position requires occasional evening and weekend hours.
- Maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license, adequate auto insurance, and have access to an operating vehicle in order to attend to AHS business
