Moreland School District is looking for a dedicated individual lto lead our central kitchen staff in preparing food for the students and staff at Moreland School District.

This full-time postion works every day that school is in session. Shift times are 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. mid August to mid June. This position enable employees to have school breaks and the summer off to enjoy with family and friends.

Basic Function:

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, coordinate assigned functions in the daily operations of the Central Kitchen; oversee inventory; prepare and process bulk food orders and ensure timely delivery to assigned school sites; maintain cafeteria data base records; monitor and oversee student accounts; prepare and slice meats for Central Kitchen and District schools; maintain food service facilities, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition.

Examples of Essential Duties:

• Coordinate assigned functions in the daily food operations in the Central Kitchen.
• Manage and participate in the preparation, ordering, distribution, and storage of daily food and weekly supplies for all District sites.
• Estimate needed food quantities and order food to meet menu requirements; receive, inspect, record, and store food, supplies and equipment; assist in the distribution of bulk food orders for District school site kitchens.
• Train and provide work direction to designated food service personnel as assigned; coordinate assigned functions in the daily food operations in the Central Kitchen.
• Oversee and account for daily cash funds; process student meal cards for breakfast and lunches; collect money and deposit into student accounts; keep records and receipts and maintain cafeteria data base records, including lunch counts and food consumption.
• Resolve problems in the food preparation and service delivery with assigned schools.
• Assist with catering as needed.
• Submit work orders for food service equipment repairs and pest control requests.
• Provide input concerning employee evaluations as requested.
• Comply with mandated reporting requirements.

Pay: $24.90 - $31.78 per hour
