Fine Dining Server Assistant Job at Vendue Hotel
POSITION SUMMARY:
Support the Servers, Hostess and Bartender with the execution of service in the restaurant. It is an integral part of the operation of the restaurant. While no job description can possibly provide a comprehensive list of job duties, the following is a summary of the major responsibilities for the position.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet all guests immediately and obtain their choice of bottled or tap water
- Assist servers with refilling beverages and water, resetting & bussing tables
- Observe tables and take not of t dirty, clean and occupied tables
- Updating Hostess on status of tables throughout the shift
- Help with the seating of guests if the hostess is busy
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or equivalent.
Experience: Prior hospitality experience preferred but not required
Skills:
- Communication
- Ability to provide friendly, efficient and courteous service to guests
- Ability to work under pressure, be organized, self-motivated and work well with others.

Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear for a long period of time; frequently required to use hands to handle, feel and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard POS computer systems. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Work Environment:
- The work environment includes high guest contact; may involve varying conditions and circumstances with guests, staff and supervisors.
