We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will take pride and ownership in the accounting functions at Spring Oaks Capital. This will require experience and expertise in financial reporting, and accounting systems. This management position will report directly to the Director of Finance and Accounting with significant exposure to the CFO and other senior leadership. We are looking for an individual with a desire to help grow and manage a finance organization that is integrated into our core business operations.

As a subject matter expert, the ideal candidate will lead all accounting, banking, accounts payable, payroll, sales and state tax filings, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting (including preparation of monthly financial statements) and the annual financial audit efforts. A successful candidate will be a team player and effective as a both a contributor to and leader of the company’s accounting team.

Additional Preferred Experience:

• Financial Services industry with specific exposure to consumer finance, loan servicing, and/or fintech
• Command of GAAP and ability to learn and apply specific guidance for the distressed credit industry
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills for various types of audiences (internal and external)
• Team building and management; comfortable contributing to the development of a robust accounting team over time
• CPA certification is an important consideration
• Oracle NetSuite experience is an important consideration
