Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (Strategic Finance)

OVERVIEW

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (Strategic Finance) will help to build and scale the forecasting processes and decision-making frameworks around evaluating existing and new business levers and initiatives that will unlock growth and help the FTD scale. This is a hands-on, high impact role that will partner with key business stakeholders to drive thoughtful financial decision making. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be eager to demonstrate their financial and business acumen across all aspects of FTD's segments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, own, and improve upon key business and financial operating models.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and any subsequent forecasts.
  • Strategically collaborate with stakeholders throughout Merchandising, Marketing, and Go to Market (GTM) to improve productivity and performance across the organization.
  • Act as a thought partner and analytical arm to senior leadership in Financial Planning & Analysis and consumer, providing budget guidance, performance reporting, and decision support.
  • Forecast and monitor FTD's financial/operating metrics and identify growth & profitability opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive cross functional analysis and develop factual point of view on how those trends affect business and strategy.
  • Identify areas in the P&L to improve efficiency and drive cost savings across the departments.
  • Own all ad hoc analysis for the Strategic Finance team & CFO.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration required.
    • MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience of Financial Planning & Analysis in a fast-paced organization, investment banking or strategy consulting environment.
  • In depth experience in Business to Consumer (B2C) and working closely with a marketing organization.
  • Self-starter, inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence, work ethic, a learning mindset, positive attitude, and willingness to embrace challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence.
  • Proven track record of translating financial insight to business outcomes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, NetSuite (a plus).
  • Exposure to Planning system Integration with other planning tools (NetSuite, Workday, Snowflake, Tableau).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, virtual environment requiring self-motivation and adaptability.
