How You’ll Contribute
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Shared Financial Services, The Finance Systems and Reports Manager will play an instrumental role within the Finance team as a key resource for financial and contract management systems. This role will work with Finance leadership to develop and implement a strategy to transform current financial data structure to empower world class reporting and analytics by bring together relevant data to aid in strategic decision making.

The Finance Systems and Reports Manager will work collaboratively with all areas of the Finance team, as well as with the Finance Applications Lead to implement, maintain and optimize systems such as Workday, Adaptive, and Agiloft.

This role will also develop innovative solutions to advance Finance’s department goals and alignment to NG Next strategic goals.
Your Impact
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Functional Lead with the Business Applications Team representing Finance’s system configuration, workflow, and system interface needs among all Finance related applications to ensure Finance is optimizing system tools (50%).
    • Develop, maintain, and deliver custom Workday and Adaptive reports as well as develop Workday dashboards to Finance and non-Finance users.
    • Work closely with the Business Applications Team on regression testing systems, updates and enhancements among all Finance related applications while adhering to defined NGS Change Management protocols
    • Maintain data integrity and enforce consistent data mapping across all systems.
    • Identify inter-dependencies and clearly communicate the business process, or technical implications and benefits/risks of proposed systems changes to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization to gather functional requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations to meet business needs (25%).
  • Work the departments on leads on assessing any maintenance tasks of closing financial items among all Finance related applications (10%).
  • Design, review and maintain Finance policies, forms and guidelines within the organization’s database as needed (5%).
  • Develop and implement organizational onboarding and refresh training modules to train current and new users within all financial systems (5%).
  • Participate in Finance-related initiatives or projects as assigned (5%).
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a financial discipline
Minimum Years and Type of Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance and related settings implementing or maximizing the efficiency of systems and processes.
  • Experience with integrated ERP and Budgeting/Planning systems Workday, Adaptive or Agiloft experience required
  • CPA a plus
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Knowledge of principles, practices and procedures as they pertain to Finance.
  • Strong strategic-thinking skills with an ability to collaborate with team members on best practices
  • Ability to communicate business requirements and functional design objectives to technical teams
  • Deep understanding of functionality of NG systems and technology solutions
  • Attention to detail, ability to understand and manage competing priorities among the various stakeholders
  • Ability to identify problems, develop solutions and take action to resolve issues in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to prepare/compose/edit written materials and correspondence.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage time efficiently, consistently meet required deadlines.

The salary range for this position starts at $100,000.
Job Designation
Remote - Our Remote designation continues to require that staff work in another location in the U.S. or abroad, such as our regional leads for our Education and International teams or regional fundraisers in Advancement. Staff may also be designated as Remote by their supervisors (with approval by the Senior Team lead) because of their duties or personal circumstances, and are afforded this status when it is beneficial to NGS, their respective team, and the employee.
