JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Ohio CAT is looking to add to our team of experienced and talented Field-Service technicians. As an Ohio CAT Field Serviceman you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair natural gas engines used primarily in the gas compression industry, from a company service truck, in the field, often times at customer job sites. The emphasis of this position will be Caterpillar G3300, G3400, G3500, G3600, and GCM engines. In a Field Serviceman position, you will have the satisfaction of contributing to building the world around you!

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College and/or continued education in a technical field are a plus.
• Experience related to commercial engine service and repair is required
• Experience with electronic engine control and management systems preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Ohio CAT standards
• Knowledge of Caterpillar or other OEM natural gas engines
• Strong technical service skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience with construction or power equipment required, and strong DC electrical and machine electronic system knowledge is crucial
• Must have the ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete repairs and manufacturers’ updates, as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling
• Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines
• Dexterity Normal
• Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
