Shermco U.S. is seeking a Field Service Vibration Technician in Irving, TX.
Job Description:
Collect vibration data, perform vibration analysis and trim balancing using an analyzer (i.e. CSI or GTI)
- Onsite inspection, testing & reconditioning of electric motors & generators up to 13.2kV
- Install and remove electric motor & generators at customer locations
- Conduct surge, insulation power factor and hipotential testing
- Align, precision balance, and perform predictive and corrective maintenance services and repair on electrical motors
- Meet with customers to review and evaluate identified needs
- Write reports of findings and recommendations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical schooling a plus
- At least 3 years related experience, performing electro-mechanical repair & maintenance
- Needs to have at least 2 years experience performing vibration analysis; experience with CSI or IRD analyzer
- Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods
- Must be available and willing to travel periodically for overnight trips
- Must have a valid driver's license and good MVR record
- Basic computer literacy with email, word processing and database
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work in all kinds of environmental conditions, with or without accommodation
- Vibration Certifications preferred, CAT 1 and greater
Must be able to pass a drug test and background screening
