Job description

This position is responsible for performing assignments requiring service of SEDA USA on Actuation, Pilot Controls, Panels and Switches and Special Products. The
primary functions are to perform installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and system test and training on site as required in accordance with SEDA USA and customer requirements. The position can additionally be tasked with planning and implementing interfaces between SEDA USA and Non-SEDA USA equipment. May be required to act as on site lead for major field installation or modification programs. Services are performed using SEDA USA approved methods and workmanship standards to ensure optimum
equipment operation and customer satisfaction. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) supports equipment and systems of high complexity and advanced technology. Competence is required in utilizing developmental techniques for experimental or prototype equipment and during configuration changes in customer systems including interface with SEDA USA and Non-SEDA USA.

Complementary description

  • Provide technical support on diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, and/or complex software not related to IT.
  • Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Normally receives general instructions on routine work.Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
  • Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications / implementations.
  • Builds productive working relationships internally and externally. Frequent internal company and external contacts.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals.
  • Frequent use of general/technical knowledge and industry/functional practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts, and principles. Developing professional expertise.
  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six
