About The Role
Location: Remote, with occasional travel to office and project sites
Gleeds is an independent global Construction consultancy, specializing in Program and Project Management, Project Controls and Strategic Advisory. Due to our plans for growth in the US market, we have an opening for an Civil Estimator to support a variety of infrastructure and transit projects.
Role and Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings specifications and related documents.
- Identifies labor, material and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications and related documents.
- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirements.
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying data in relatable format.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
About You
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Construction Management, Building Science or Engineering preferred
- 7+ years of experience in Civil Estimating working for a constructor on highway, transit or bridge construction projects
- Proven ability to take the lead on challenging projects and requires minimal to no direction to accomplish projects.
- Can set benchmarks for themselves and others to meet project success.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work individually and in a group setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and self-verification of work.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively execute problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing deadlines
Other Requirements
