Job Description Summary

The Equipment Rental Specialist is the first person you see when you walk into Powerhouse True Value Rental and Hardware or dial the Powerhouse phone number. The ideal person for this role is energetic, eager to help, and hungry to learn and grow their career.

The Equipment Rental Specialist is responsible for supporting telephone and walk-in customers with rentals of all types of construction/industrial equipment. This position is considered the Company's front line of contact with the customer, whose purpose is to understand customer equipment needs, negotiate and place orders. The role also requires strong administrative skills and an ability to always deliver customer satisfaction through a professional attitude.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Process rental quotes, reservations, and contracts
• Supports all incoming phone calls
• Identify customer needs and coordinate team actions to help resolve and satisfy requests with superior customer service
• Maximize revenue by advising customers on the selection, operation, and maintenance of various types of equipment
• Communicate with dispatch to ensure timely delivery of equipment to construction sites.
• Work directly with sales team to support the outside sales reps, provide leads on new business prospects
• Become an expert in in the equipment rental industry

Education and Experience Requirements

• 1+ years of experience working in operational capacity that involves cross functional team collaboration preferred
• Construction equipment and/or Rental-Style company knowledge a plus!
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Strong project management, new business development and customer retention skills

• Knowledge of ground protection, construction or specialty industrial equipment preferred

Job's Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Total compensation package includes base pay plus robust commission plan.

Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
