Wheeler Material Handling is searching for an Equipment Inventory Specialist to; define current equipment inventory, forecast future inventory needs, maintain inventory lists, and provide monthly reporting to management on improvements, milestones, and initiatives. This position will rely heavily on data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in inventory control or data analysis
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., ERP)
• Strong Microsoft 365 Suite capabilities
• Advanced Excel experience
• Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
• An analytical mind with strong math skills
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Reliable and trustworthy with a drive to work with independently.
• Relevant qualifications and/or certifications (e.g., CPIM) will be a plus.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
• Ensure equipment inventory is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
• Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory lists.
• Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.
• Place orders to replenish equipment inventory avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
• Analyze data to anticipate future needs.
• Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships.
• Collaborate with Sales Directors and other staff to ensure business goals are met.
• Report monthly to management on stock levels, issues, improvements etc.
• Maintaining Order Management System information for monthly reporting
• Maintain, administer & distribute New Equipment Inventory lists
• Monitoring stock levels, communicating needs to management
• Managing & documenting Demo requests from inventory
• Ordering equipment on manufacturer portal, NOVO & receipting into our business system, NDS
• Setting up consistent and detailed equipment file standards
• Identify non-moving inventory & strategize on disposition
• Establish new equipment inventory stock levels
• Forecast order/delivery schedules & financing requirements
• Working with Controller reconciling the equipment file to the general ledger
• Responsible for new equipment purchasing & minimizing freight impact
• Vendor communications with manufacturers on equipment stocking, inventory programs, discounts, price increases, etc
