TRC is seeking an Environmental Engineer / Project Managerto support our Environmental, Construction & Remediation practice inWest Seneca, New York.

The position requires a strong technical background in environmental remediation and regulatory compliance, including investigation, design, construction, and operation of remediation systems, and demonstrated skills in Project Management.

Our Environmental Engineers / Project Managers:

  • Lead project remediation from investigation phase, through design and construction.
  • Develop and track multiple project budgets, scopes and schedules for regulatory submittals and other consulting documents.
  • Work well with dynamic project teams, coordinating support for projects, remotely at times.
  • Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews of deliverables related to projects and tasks managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others.
  • Write and review technical documents, reports, technical specifications, and engineering designs, ensuring quality and consistent delivery of materials.
  • Interface well with, and develop a rapport and positive relationship with, our clients and employees.
  • Have positive health and safety behaviors.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability and maintain a billable utilization target.
  • Work to cross-sell TRC services and increase business.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, and deliver responsive, high-quality proposals.
  • Have strong communications skills, both written and oral.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences or related field of study.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with remediation engineering/consulting firms.
  • Environmental site investigation, remedial design, construction oversight, operation and maintenance experience.
  • Preparation and review of technical documents and specifications, designs, investigation planning and reporting documents, Site Management Plans, and Periodic Review Reports.
  • Skills in budgeting, scheduling, procurement and coordination of teams of contractors.
  • Technical project expertise in environmental investigations, remediation, environmental compliance.
  • Experience writing and reviewing technical documents, reports and engineering designs, ensuring quality and consistent delivery of materials.
  • New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and/or West Virginia regulatory compliance (stormwater, petroleum storage, contingency plans) experience.
  • In-field experience leading and performing investigation and remediation work at industrial Sites.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, including current annual refresher.

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the basic qualifications the qualifications below are highly desired but not required:

  • Participation in, or managing projects under, a NYSDEC Division of Environmental Remediation Standby Engineering Services Contract, and
  • Professional licensing/registration in NY and/or other northeastern states listed above.

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $80,000-$100,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
