Curexa is seeking eager and enthusiastic applicants who want to learn everything Pharmacy! Those interested will have the opportunity to go through the registration/licensing and certification process required by the NJ State Board of Pharmacy during your employment with Curexa.

Curexa Pharmacy is a growing local, family-owned compounding and medication fulfillment pharmacy located in Southern NJ (Galloway and Egg Harbor Township). At Curexa, the patient is always at the center of our care. We create a unique and special workplace that allows our entire staff the ability to work together and take care of every patient.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Our Pharmacy Technicians will need to have the ability to:

• Interpret prescription orders through oral and written communication
• Create patient profiles, including but not limited to patient medical history, medication history, and demographic information
• Accurately fill prescriptions and package products properly
• Work as a team with fellow employees
• Several roles available:
• Filling Role: Filter ques and print, pick the correct product off the shelf, label with patient specific label, and package per partner specification, restock supplies as needed, be able to load printers down zebra printer with paper, basic understanding of inventory and the ability to communicate with their supervisor when we are getting low on a certain item.
• Lab Assistant: Cleaning Lab equipment (beakers, etc)., labeling, putting bottles together, etc.
• Package Assembler: Primarily make boxes for products
• Packaging - Count medications and package, check packaged items for defects, etc.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

• Current pharmacy technician registration/certification

• Pharmacy technician licensure in the state you are working in

• Basic mathematics skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure

• Effective computer and keyboarding skills

• Working knowledge of pharmacy information systems

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral

• Strong prioritization skills and an ability to make decisions independently and effectively

• Able to operate equipment such as computers, scan guns, tablet counters, and cash registers

• Familiarity with pharmacy practice settings, legal requirements and limitations, prescription information and calculations, drug identification and generic equivalents, drug manufacturing, packaging and labeling information, and proper drug handling and storage practices

Experience:

• Pharmacy technician experience: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred)
• PTCB Certification (Preferred)
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (Preferred)
