***Aerotek is hiring for an Entry Level Maintenance Mechanic in the Bristol, PA area***

Description:

Maintains and repairs equipment and systems that support production, distribution, warehousing and facility operations. Keeps operations at optimum productivity and quality.

• Performs general mechanical tasks such as equipment repair, carpentry, plumbing and painting to meet both production and building needs.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance, including completing PM log sheets.
• Performs duties during plant emergencies as needed.
• Follows all safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s).
• Performs various other duties as assigned including assisting with the training of new employees.
• Performs general building maintenance inside and outside the facility including roof top assignments.
• Safely uses hand tools and shop tools following all safety standards.
• Independently pursues avenues of knowledge and skill advancement.
• Completes all paperwork on a daily basis and in a timely manner (i.e. log sheets, PM records).
• Observes, adjusts and monitors assigned equipment to achieve optimum performance.

Equipment Used

• Hand tools and small power tools
• Surface Grinder, Lathe, and Milling machine
• Drill press, sander, and band saw
• Multi meter and amp meter
• Fork lift transporter, scissors lift
• Cranes, vacuum lifts

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience.
• Must be able to work under all conditions I.E. cold heat, wet, dry, dust, snow, confined space and elevated areas.
• Must successfully pass written and practical tests and achieve scores equivalent to national standards.
• Must demonstrate the ability to identify basic tools and their uses.
• Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Must demonstrate the ability to identify basic tools and their uses.
