ProTek Recycling, Incorporated is seeking an entry level driver to be assist with our electronic recycling pickup services. During times of peak business or when the main drivers are out, the entry level driver would drive 16ft or 26ft trucks to service our clients. Standard routes are day trips to NYC, Boston and the Capital Region. All routes leave from Watervliet, NY and return back to Watervliet at the end of the day.

The entry level driver would still go on the runs to NYC and Boston when they are not driving but would act as a “driver helper” and remove electronic equipment from client locations. The entry level driver would also drive trucks locally on a regular basis.

This position is on the runs about 60% of the time and would working in the warehouse the other 40% of the time unloading trucks, taking apart electronics or other warehouse tasks.

Applicants should be capable and confident in their ability to drive 16ft and 26ft trucks.

When an entry level driver drives a truck for runs in NYC or Boston, they will receive a driver differential bonus for the day in addition to their hourly wage.

Runs typically begin at 5 or 6am. Reliable method to get to work is required. Shifts lengths vary between 8 and 12 hours long. Warehouse shift are from 7am to 3pm. 4-day or 5-day work weeks are available on weekdays (Monday to Friday).

Requirements:

• 2 or more years of 16ft box truck driving experience or larger vehicles

· Prior experience in delivery/pickup industry (preferred)

• DOT Medical examiner’s certificate
• Class D, CDL B License or similar
• Background check
• Substance screening before hire and during employment (includes marijuana)
• Clean abstract
• Able to lift, pull, push 75 lbs throughout the work shift
• 21+ years old
