Job Summary:

The Service Technician is responsible for assisting the Service Department Manager and Service Supervisor with the assembly of new systems and evaluating them for performance and stability. In addition, for improving current systems while ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.

Job Duties:

• Assist in system assembling, testing, and evaluating for performance and stability.
• Fill out and accurately document orders to streamline communication and shipments to the sales team and / or customer.
• Prepare system orders with all parts needed for installation and package securely for freight shipments.
• Collect parts orders for systems from outside vendors as they come available.
• Assist with local deliveries and pick-ups as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the service department throughout each workday.
• Complete other projects and tasks as needed for the betterment of the service department and Meyer Lab.

Education / Work Experience & Requirements

• Mechanical, technical, and assembly skills sets preferred – but we will train the right person.
• Excellent reading and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word and Calendar).
• Problem solver that is a self-starter with personal accountability and follow-through.
• High sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Travel & Physical Requirements

• No overnight travel. Local travel for deliveries and pick-ups required as needed.
• Desk and computer work required.
• Lifting required up to 50 lbs
