Enterprise IT Support Specialist Job at Cadwell Industries

Position Summary:
The Enterprise Information Technology Support Specialist participates in supporting our largest enterprise customers by identifying and resolving networking and application performance issues, assisting the application support team regarding performance issues from enterprise customers, working with our product development and test teams when launching new products or features.
This position will be located either at headquarters in Kennewick, WA or remote in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area.


Key Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to Cadwell customers with emphasis on high-level networking and application issues
  • Effectively troubleshoots Server, Storage, and Citrix software related issues and provide network related support
  • Perform pre-installation, post-installation, and post-go-live performance testing; make recommendations to customers on how to improve performance.
  • Supports cloud-based environments
  • Acts as a primary interface with customers’ IT departments
  • Assumes support role with Cadwell Clinical Application team
  • Manages enterprise equipment installations
  • Manages work assignments and commitments, meets deliverables and deadlines, and effectively communicates the status of assigned task
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
  • Provides and participates in 24/7 support for enterprise customers.


Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology related field required
  • 7+ years of experience in helpdesk and network support environments
  • Experience with hypervisors, for example, VMWare and Hyper-V required
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server administration required
  • Experience “racking hardware” and assembling servers required
  • Experience administering Citrix virtualization of desktops and applications a plus
  • Experience delivering GPU backed VDI environments a plus
  • Experience with HL7 integration a plus


Job Knowledge / Requirements:
  • Comprehensive understanding of servers, virtual environments, WAN and LAN topologies, Citrix, VMWare Horizon, and storage environments
  • Competency in computer skills: MS Office and Google applications, query tools, and database systems
  • Active Directory and LDAP Microsoft SQL a must, other DB systems a plus
  • Understanding of cloud services. Experience with at least one, for example: AWS or Microsoft Azure
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required, including understanding, explaining, presenting and documenting complex technical processes and issues
  • Has excellent customer support skills and a professional demeanor at all times
  • Complete work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed


Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
  • Extensive use of computer
  • Travel may be required; must be able to obtain necessary travel documents
  • Requires the following physical activities: reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and talking
  • Work outside normal business hours and overtime may be required to meet business needs
  • Reliable high-speed internet is required
