JOB OVERVIEW:

General Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the general condition of the property with regards to all aspects of basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical work. The Engineer will respond to all guest calls and assigned work tickets in a timely manner. They will also be responsible for following the preventive maintenance programs for both guest rooms and mechanical equipment. Engineers will be expected to engage with guests when answering room calls as well as around property in a welcoming and hospitable manner.

This position requires open availability for any morning, afternoon or evening shifts. A general maintenance engineer makes $20.50 per hour. The resort provides uniforms, meals, and free parking. After 5 months of employment, you would be eligible for our medical benefit package.

REPORTS TO: Area Director of Property Operations, Assistant Chief Engineer

Requirements

• Working knowledge/experience of plumbing and electrical trades
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling and disposal procedures
• Knowledge of proper use of power and hand tools including snakes
• Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal communications
• Flexible schedule – must have OPEN availability

Ability to:

o Be well-organized and follow instructions.

o Focus on attention to details.

o Prioritize tickets and tasks accordingly.

o Perform well under pressure work assignments.

o Work and perform job functions with minimal direct supervision.

o Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

Desirable

• Working knowledge of HVAC and refrigerant systems
• Working experience of painting and drywall
• Experience in soldering copper pipe
• Experience with pool maintenance
