Allied Engineering and Design, Inc. (AED) is looking to add to our team! We seek a detail oriented, professional, and motivated Electrical Designer in our Swedesboro, NJ office.
Swedesboro, NJ - 08085
The successful candidate shall be skilled in the design of electrical systems for chemical/petrochemical refinery and pipeline industries.
Mandatory minimum experience:
- Electrical systems design experience (minimum seven years) in an industrial environment.
- Experience in the development of electrical drawings and documents that include one-line diagrams, power plans, electrical equipment arrangement drawings, cable routing (cable tray/raceways), cable & conduit schedules, schematic wiring diagrams, grounding plans, and lighting plans.
- Proficient at AutoCAD 2D
- Experience developing complete electrical installation drawing packages as part of construction packages.
- A strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry design standards.
- Comfortable working on several small projects simultaneously.
- Able to participate in periodic field survey work, as required in heavy industrial environments. Industrial sites are local.
- TWIC card required. Must be able to obtain a TWIC card if the candidate does not already have one.
Preferred experience:
- Experience in AutoCAD 3D.
- Petrochemical, chemical, and pipeline industry experience.
- Development of control system drawings such as system architectures, control panel design.
- Development of instrumentation drawings and documents such as IO and Instrument lists, instrument installation details, instrument location plans, and loop sheets.
- Field construction coordination and commissioning/startup experience.
