Education Program Manager

Full-Time Position, Hybrid

Hybrid - Work in the office in downtown Seattle a minimum of 2 days a week (subject to change) and attend in-person events as needed.

Job Brief

We are looking for a dynamic, thoughtful person who bears diverse skills and is passionate about our mission, intent on joining our fight to combat hatred through education. This role requires organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. The person in this role wears many hats, establishing and maintaining relationships with our speakers and survivors, managing programs and resources, communicating with educators, leading our Student Leadership Board and supervising the Education Coordinator. This person works with the Director of Education, and is an essential member of the education team and entire organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and develops the Speakers Bureau, a group of Holocaust survivors, their descendants and eye-witnesses who share their stories with students and other groups.
  • Leads and plans the Student Leadership Board, which consists of students from around the state of Washington
  • Provides support and logistics for teacher training
  • Conducts outreach of programs and resources, including professional development to educators and community
  • Maintains relationships with Holocaust survivor community
  • Provides oversight for field trip and teacher trunk programs
  • Communicates with teachers throughout the state regarding resources and programming
  • Assists the Director of Education as needed on special projects, teacher training, resource development, and programs

Requirements

  • Proven work experience, actual or comparable to responsibilities outlined above
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented organizational and planning skills
  • Is a thoughtful, calm problem solver and innovator
  • Is dynamic to work with and lead a group of teenage students
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, exuding patience and empathy
  • Bears a growth mindset, intent on learning, growing and has ability to take constructive feedback
  • A background in the field of education is not required, but a familiarity with working with teachers, schools, and/or students, is a plus.
  • Must be able to come to the Holocaust Center’s office in downtown Seattle a minimum of two days a week

Salary range

$60,000 to $65,000 - Full-time with benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
