Drug and Alcohol Counselor/ CADC II:
$25-29/hr DOE

The CADC II shall provide services to Individuals identified with substance use disorders and addictions. Responsibilities include development, coordination and implementation of counseling, education and treatment of substance use disorders for individuals and their identified support network, as well as ensuring direct care staff training. Addiction treatment shall be collaborative and support the Behavior Support Plan.
A current CADC II is required.
Duties:
- Work closely with other staff as a member of a treatment team.
- Collaborate with clients on completion of individualized treatment plans that contain goals and objectives that are measurable and are based on assessed needs and problems.
- Provide treatment through a variety of modalities including individual sessions, group counseling, and family counseling, as well as case management services, ensuring individualized, quality care.
- Partnerships with local law enforcement regarding reporting and disposal of illegal substances;
- Development and management of plans for safe drug use, in order to continue residency with Community;
- Identification and documentation of addiction triggers and coordination of any necessary treatment;
- Implementation of individual and group addiction treatment for Individuals who would benefit and have consented to such treatment, either on-site or in coordination with community agencies; and Provision of staff education on substances and addiction.
- Assess ongoing needs of individuals, update assessments and recommendations as needed, and make appropriate referrals for additional services as needed.
- Participate in clinical staff meetings, team meetings, and supervision. Seek additional guidance and supervision as needed.
- Model appropriate counselor behavior to the newer staff and help train and orient new staff to the program.
- Complete necessary requirements in order to maintain certification.
- Other duties as assigned by the program manager
Requirements:
· A current CADC II.
· A Minimum of a B.A./B.S. Degree (or equivalency - a minimum of an AA degree/90 college credits, and a combination of academic courses with specialized training and experience in the Addiction Counseling Competencies commensurate with baccalaureate degree credit/hour requirements, with a minimum of 300 Alcohol & Drug Specialty Education Hours.
· Must have BLS/CPR training and certification.
· Must have experience working in chemical dependency treatment, preferably with outpatient adults who have been adjudicated to treatment and/or people with co-occurring mental health disorders.
· Must pass a pre-employment background check and meet Oregon state long term care vaccination requirements.
