Gateway Domestic Violence Services is seeking an experienced Domestic Violence Liaison to support our mission and provide expert consultation!



Gateway Domestic Violence services is seeking a passionate, dedicated employee to consult with the Arapahoe County Department of Human Services (ACDHS) staff about the impacts of domestic violence within families in this Domestic Violence Liaison role. The position is a representative of Gateway co-located within the ACDHS office, and it provides consultation, training, and community referrals regarding domestic violence (DV). Its end goal is to spread information about all aspects of domestic violence and increase understanding of the dynamics of DV. In short, working with Gateway provides an amazing opportunity to serve the community.

While educating, consulting, and sharing community-based resources, the Domestic Violence Liaison will communicate frequently with caseworkers, treatment providers, and other involved parties on specific cases to assure coordination of care.

As a Liaison, you will be asked to utilize your prior knowledge of domestic violence and its effects on families to develop and maintain a strong collaboration with the ACDHS. This role will also involve accompanying ACDHS Case Workers on home visits to observe and provide continual feedback on the dynamics of DV and helpful language and approaches to use to support those who are experiencing domestic violence.

Gateway serves to prevent and eliminate intimate partner violence through counseling, residential care, and empowering people for social change.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field of study required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with victims of DV required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar position and with related responsibilities is helpful.
  • Experience working with Child Protective Services preferred or a willingness to learn about this system.
  • Experience with offering training both virtually and in person.
  • Skills in mediation and negotiation necessary.
  • Bilingual skills preferred

WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING

  • Expected annual salary range of $50,000 - $54,000, depending on education and experience.

  • Paid time off, accruing per 26 pay periods annually totally 3 weeks of vacation and 12 days of wellness time.
  • 10 paid holidays and 3 personal days to be used as you choose.
  • Primary work schedule is 8:30 to 5:30 with some variety based on need.
