Full Job Description
The Director, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) reports to and works closely with the Vice President of Revenue Cycle.
S/he provides day-to-day strategic leadership and operational guidance to all Allied Health Management’s RCM departments. This person will work collaboratively with peers across the group to ensure the smooth, efficient operation of the RCM departments to maximize cash flow. S/he is responsible for applying expert knowledge of trend identification, process implementation and improvement, planning, training, and guidance to the RCM Managers.
The Director will be responsible for supporting Senior Leadership in evaluating and improving the overall RCM performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Critical to this position is extensive knowledge of billing and medical reimbursement, proactively improving performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • S/he assists in determining benchmarks for the RCM team and assures that all RCM teams are performing at or above expectations.
  • Actively seeks out and implements process improvement opportunities.
  • S/he ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Place high emphasis on developing an efficient, effective billing model that can sustain or improve financial performance within an evolving landscape.
  • Possess strong leadership skills and demonstrate an ability to inspire staff to achieve excellence, reach goals and objectives, and continuing professional development.
  • May perform other duties as assigned, i.e., special projects for the organization

Qualifications:
Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Has at minimum of five years of experience in Full Cycle RCM (i.e., coding, billing, and collection) with at least three years in a management role.
  • Experience with Athena Practice management software
  • Experience working in a large, multi-location medical practice or Management Service Organization (MSO) environment
  • Has an ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form to leaders, staff, and outside entities.
  • Has an ability to evaluate workflows and appropriately recommends process improvements.
  • Has analytical skills to develop, compile and prepare reports and convey findings as needed.
  • Work independently with minimal assistance from management.
  • Ability to adapt to urgent deadlines or rapidly changing priorities and always maintain composure in high stress situations.
  • Possess the knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to be a successful mentor and provide continual constructive feedback to the team.
  • Ability to come into the West Long Branch Headquarters weekly

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with Phreesia
  • Experience in all phases of managed care contracting process, including analysis and presentation of financial impact.
  • Experience working under a Private Equity investor
  • Comfort with technology changes in the healthcare environment
