ABS Kids is looking for an experienced Director of Patient Management to oversee and lead our scheduling team! This is a remote position and manages a remote team. We are looking for an experienced Scheduling Manager or Assistant Director who wants to take their career to the next level and has prior experience in a healthcare environment that schedules a mobile clinical team (ABA, home health, nursing homes, or similar environment). Our scheduling team creates schedules for Behavior Technicians based on their home location and matches them to patients based on where they live. We currently provide services in California, Utah, Tennessee and North Carolina with expansion planned to new states! In addition to the home-based services, we also provide center- based services throughout our states.
Our Administrative Support team members play a vital role in advancing our mission to make a difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Every team member at ABS Kids is passionate about providing best in class support to our direct care providers, who in turn deliver the highest quality ABA therapy to our patients.
What will you do?
Partner with operational leadership to develop new strategies and approaches for optimizing Scheduling processes- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through team building, consistent accountability, and clear communication of work standards
- Identify opportunities for team improvement and innovation, remove barriers and resistance to change and promote constructive teamwork and communication
- Schedule, assign, and monitor staff assignments to promote efficiency and to ensure that adequate coverage is maintained
- Routinely present data relative to the performance of the Scheduling functions to Senior Leadership
- Receive and respond to patient communications related to scheduling, if needed
- Evaluate employee performance and provide appropriate guidance, professional development, and constructive feedback
- Provide effective leadership to the Scheduling staff members in a remote and office-based environment as needed
- Ensure that performance standards are well defined and achieved
- Ensure that all schedules are completed in accordance with established standards
- Provide exceptional leadership and strive to exceed operational and team goals
- Interview, hire, and train all department personnel
- Initiate disciplinary proceedings as required
- Provide consistent coaching and mentoring to team members
- Effectively and proactively manage relationships with providers
- Manage caseload coordinators for each region to ensure optimization

Who are we looking for?
Minimum of 5 years management experience with teams 20+ people, preferably remote. Prior scheduling and/or intake experience with an ABA company or a mobile clinical workforce is helpful, but not required.- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills
- Computer literacy skills with Microsoft Office
