Shift: Full-Time; Day Shift; 40 hours a week; Will be responsible for a department that runs 24/7 and may need to cover additional shifts as needed

Job Description

The Manager is responsible for the management and quality of nursing which includes adult medical and surgical, oncology, and medical emergency situations that may arise on these units by furnishing guidance and broad supervision.

Essential Functions

• Works collaboratively with their assigned supervisor to ensure nursing practice is at optimal level of performance.
• Demonstrates professional management skills in leadership.
• Collaborates with their assigned supervisor, physicians and other departments within the facility to implement total care of the patient.
• Effectively demonstrates and leads his/her group through change dealing positively with change.
• Effectively coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees.
• Appropriately supervises, delegates, schedules and assigns work to achieve patient satisfaction.
• Assists and directs nursing staff with patient care support as needed. Observes patients and performs staff duties when the need arises.
• Assist in meeting clinical quality objectives, and improve nursing care, including nurse sensitive core measures, HCAHPS, and clinical safety.
• Must have effective interpersonal relationships and communication with nursing leadership.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• BSN Required
• BLS, ACLS & NRP (through the American Heart Association) Required
• PALS, STABLE preferred
• Management Experience Required
