Director of Information Systems Job at The Methodist Home for Children and Youth

Purpose: The Director of Information Systems leads the technical strategies, designs, implementation, and management of the enterprise computer systems for business operations. This is a Senior level hands-on role that requires a broad range of experience with architecture, infrastructure, security, applications, servers, storage, telecommunications, and problem resolution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Develops strategic plans for the enterprise systems and ensures alignment with Agency budget, grant, and funding cycles to support technical initiatives.
· Oversees the management of mission critical information systems.
· Liaison, or designates liaison, to communicate with third party vendors to coordinate application upgrades, system testing and troubleshooting issues.
· Representative or appoints IT representative to coordinate/manage third party software integration.
· Manages relationships and consults with Methodist Home employees and stakeholders to evaluate Information Technology needs and develop solutions.
· Provides Senior support for problem analysis, diagnostics, and resolution of issues impacting production systems.
· Maintains current documentation of technical diagrams, processes, procedures, and reference materials for operational environments in a central repository.
· Designs architecture for major upgrades to the core telecommunications, server, storage, and facilities to align with availability standards.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in a branch of Computer Sciences and/or 10+ years of experience in related technical disciplines.
· Demonstrated performance at the Senior level and applied concepts related to Data Systems Engineering, Architecture, Security, Operations Management, Project Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and systems implementation.
· Experience interfacing with Senior leadership, Directors, Managers, and teams with varying levels of technical knowledge.
