The Director of Food & Beverage (F&B) is responsible for the strategic success and future planning as it relates to all F&B initiatives for all areas including the bar, restaurant, golf course, banquet and events of Thornberry Creek at Oneida (TCO).

Essential functions:

    • Lead by example, creating a fun and stable environment; setting a benchmark of performance in the areas of innovation, motivation and animation.
    • Maintain effective communication between all members in regards to F&B issues and concerns. Communicating the vision and mission of TCO is vital to the achievement of company goals.
    • Function as a coach in encouraging team members to be successful, including corrective actions when necessary.
    • Establish goals/processes for measuring sales, revenue, new projects and business development.
    • Responsible for the marketing, sales and promotional activities of the food and beverage initiatives.
    • Monitors the performance of the F&B operations to determine whether these strategies and plans require adjustment to positively impact revenues and cost controls.
    • Responsible F&B cost controls in addition to developing F&B operational and capital budgets.
    • Involved in key F&B development initiatives directly relating to the banquet facilities/restaurant/on course F&B.
    • Be available to work weekends, & holidays as business dictates.
Education, Experience & License Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Restaurant Management, Business or related field.
    • Four to ten years related experience with minimum of two years of Food & Beverage Management experience. Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
    • Experience with budget development and accountability is required.
    • Must be able to obtain a local municipality Operators License for Bartending (bartender’s licenses) within 30 days of employment and maintain such licensure.
    • Valid Driver’s license is required.
    • Strong team-building skills including the ability to lead, cooperate, motivate, and contribute as part of a team with representatives from multiple disciplines.
    • Must take the initiative to physically support all Food & Beverage outlets as business dictates.
    • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
    • Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards, with attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness a must.
