GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Under the administrative direction of the Chief People Officer (CPO), and as a member of the Management Team, the Director of Behavioral Health plans, develops and coordinates the implementation and evaluation of the agencys adult Behavioral Health Center services. Provides supervision, input and technical assistance to designated clinical directors to assure quality behavioral health services and outcomes which promote the growth, independence and self-worth of individuals served; plans, coordinates and monitors behavioral health services to meet applicable local, state and federal laws; licensure/certification/ accreditation standards; agency policies and procedures; and meet the needs of the individuals served effectively and efficiently.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates behavioral health services provided by Macon Resources, Inc. (MRI).

  • Responsible for performing or coordinating all updates/reviews of the Integrated Assessment and Treatment Planning (IATP) for persons served.

  • Responsible for providing outpatient psychological support and the promotion of behavioral change to persons served by MRI including crisis intervention, therapy/counseling, community support, medication monitoring and training, case management, and other approved supports. Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to monitor individuals progress, revising goals as necessary. Assist with educational offerings to better equip staff to provide needed support.

  • Coordinates agency behavioral health efforts for state licensure/certification, national accreditation, and other survey processes.

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and continual monitoring of systems for external billing in collaboration with the business office.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to meet the requirements of a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) for a Behavioral Health Center.

  • Must have experience in the field of developmental disabilities.

  • Three or more years of progressive experience preferred in the areas of planning, budgeting, staff development, supervision, and day-to-day operations of clinical services.

  • Must have an excellent working knowledge of human service systems, state systems, and standard and national accreditation standards.

  • Must be able to work independently and correctly interpret regulations.
