SUMMARY
The Director of Grant Development and Administration will be responsible for enhancing funding models, identifying new sources of funding, and developing sustainable and effective grants programs within the goals of the organizational strategic plan. Duties will include managing and conducting all grant efforts, documenting payments and expenditure, optimizing the grant administration process, overseeing fundraising, preparing progress reports, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, writing and reviewing grant proposals, managing grant databases, engaging with donor agencies, educating staff on policies, and preparing financial reports.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the PPSE grant portfolio which includes, but is not limited to, private foundations, government grants, funding agencies, and collaboratives, and select individual major donors, scrupulously maintaining adherence to all grant requirements and deadlines.
Work closely with program directors and staff to understand programs and operational elements.
Create and submit compelling and successful grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and other solicitations consistent with organizational funding goals.
Conduct reporting and renewal application process to ensure accuracy and that all reporting/renewal criteria are met and that all funder payment/reimbursement requests are submitted on schedule.
Manage and maintain a continuous grant calendar to proactively ensure adherence to submission, renewal, and reporting deadlines.
Develop and implement solicitation strategies for both current and new funders, as well as build strong partnerships with funding agencies and major donors. Collects/organizes data to ensure accurate and complete reports.
Conduct ongoing research to identify new funding sources.
Maintain donor records in Salesforce and permanent organization records. Support and attend PPSE fundraising events, such as the Annual Gala, Roses for Roe, Paint the Village Pink, etc.
Reporting to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Prepare other written materials as needed.
May supervise, orient and train department interns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience
A minimum of 3-5 years experience in fundraising, grant writing, and grants management, preferably within the health and/or advocacy-oriented nonprofit field.
Demonstrated success securing and managing a seven-figure portfolio.
Familiarity working inter-departmentally (Programs, Finance, etc.) for the purpose of grant submission.
Excellent writing and editorial skills to produce clear, concise, and compelling proposals.
