Overview of the role
The Director of DTC will be responsible for driving customer conversion through rejuvenation.com. The position is responsible for identifying and executing the strategic vision for the channel with an expected result of delivering a superior customer experience, implementing merchandising strategies to maximize customer engagement and conversion, and overseeing the overall operations and development of our website. The Director will lead a team and partner with peers, direct reports and cross-functional partners in design, inventory, merchandising, customer service, marketing and creative services to develop and implement the direct-to-consumer strategy.
Responsibilities
Identify and execute the strategic direction for the Rejuvenation DTC channel. Communicate the vision and inspire team to develop business plans, identify new opportunities, and deliver results.
- Partner with senior management and stakeholders to define key ecommerce strategies and create roadmaps that will enable the company to achieve business objectives
- In conjunction with Merchants, develop website merchandise strategies to achieve sales and gross margin goals.
- Collaborate with creative, brand marketing, analytics, digital product, production, and merchandising to refine and continually optimize the ecommerce experience
- Responsible for oversight of the online shopping experience; managing, optimizing and troubleshooting the shop path.
- Execute DTC promotional strategies, collaborating with cross functional teams in promotional planning.
- Actively ensure that online user experience and site navigation maintains ease of use and is customer friendly in accordance to established guidelines, usability studies and best practices.
- Oversee eCommerce team, responsible for all aspects of site development and enhancements - weekly product/creative uploads, major site builds and new site initiatives.
- Collaborate with Creative Services on site design, layouts, landing pages and images within website to drive product sales.
- Evaluate channel effectiveness through analytics and performance metrics.
- Drive business results by leveraging data both for driving change and measuring impact of delivery.
- Stay abreast of industry trends/activities/strategies and report findings to key business partners as well as internal team members.
- Collaborate on the development of the annual strategy and financial plans.
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly site reporting.
Criteria
- You have minimum 7 years experience within Ecommerce, DTC retailer, and site operations.
- Previous retail or online merchandising/management experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of marketing and branded content.
- Proven ability to interface with business as well as IT/technical teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills / team player and demonstrated ability to work with various teams. harmoniously while keeping project releases on time and on budget.
- Demonstrated knowledge of web site technology and development and project management as a discipline
- Hands on experience with testing software and or web products
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to reprioritize project tasks while maintaining deadlines and goals.
- Excellent analytical and business planning skills. Experience with Ecommerce Analytics tools preferred
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Team player. Able to interface with all levels of executives with a positive and collaborative approach.
- A passion for home goods and/or retail a plus.
- Self-starter, with ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong Microsoft skills, primarily Excel and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Marketing Cloud stack
