Digital Content Specialist IMIH

The Institute for Meditation and Inner Harmony (IMIH) is seeking a Digital Content Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring all public-facing IMIH channels align with and support the institute’s mission, vision, values, brand, reputation, strategic goals. This position is primarily responsible for developing and implementing IMIH’s digital content, focusing on brand and message alignment.

The Digital Content Specialist reports to IMIH Management and interfaces and collaborates with the Marketing department to maintain and strengthen the digital presence of IMIH and its products and services. The Digital Content Specialist needs to have excellent written and interpersonal communication skills optimized for digital platforms, technical experience in web and social media creation and maintenance, experience with digital marketing and branding.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the marketing, design, and IT departments, building collaborative relationships, leading to the development of content that builds brand awareness & convey the IMIH story in an engaging way.
  • Lead the ideation & definition of content & branding goals in collaboration with marketing & design teams.
  • Set editorial strategy to ensure content is consistent and captivating across all delivery channels while ensuring adherence to tone, style, and voice guidelines for all brand content
  • Create web and social media content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, grammar, style guidelines, and strategic messaging to promote IMIH products & services. .
  • Responsible for proofreading, editing & publishing content on all digital channels (web, social media, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Develop strategy for website development project, including sitemaps, wireframes, and user experience guidance.
  • Research content and audience trends to ensure content developed is relevant and appealing to reach all targeted audiences;
  • Track and report audience & content analytics on website and social media, testing and engagement, and user experience analysis.

The ideal candidate should be flexible, positive, efficient, and able to work independently. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must, as this position requires interacting with other departments & team members throughout the Institute.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, minimum five years’ work experience in communications, marketing, public relations, writing and copyediting or journalism.

Working knowledge of web content strategy as well as wireframing and sitemap development.

Experience with and knowledge of digital marketing and advertising.

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and InDesign, and experience with web content management systems, including Wordpress is a plus

Outstanding written communication skills, with strong grammar and punctuation skills.

Superior organization and Knowledgeable about latest trends and developments in website effectiveness and management, including SEO and mobile optimization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,254.00 - $51,757.00 per year
