We are seeking highly motivated and qualified (Diet Aide/Dishwasher) to join our nursing department. As the (Diet Aide/Dishwasher), some of your essential job responsibilities include:

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Handles and stores all food and equipment according to center procedures and safe food handling guidelines.
• Demonstrates ability to use equipment in a safe manor to prevent injury of self or others in accordance to manufactures, and/or supervisors’ directions.
• Assists with food preparation under supervision and as assigned by supervisor.
• Participates in tray line production to ensure accurate assembly of trays so that condiments, meals, liquids, altered textures, therapeutic foods, and adaptive equipment on the trays match the specifications on the tray cards.
• Helps ensure timely delivery of assembled trays to dining rooms and nursing units.
• Utilizes dishwasher and pot washing sinks to ensure that dishes, pots, pans, cups, trays, and utensils are clean, sanitized, and dried.
• Maintains food service work spaces in clean and safe condition at all times according to center procedures. Cleans workspaces and cooking/serving equipment according to department procedures.
• Transports alternate meals and a la carte menu items within 10 minutes of each request.
• Prepares and transports nourishments, supplements and snacks to units in a timely manor.
• Utilizes food and supplies in an efficient and economic manner to prevent waste.
• Demonstrates proper storage and handling of chemicals.
• Maintains communication with nursing department and residents to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
