The duties of this job will include completing inspections, making the appropriate repairs and performing routine preventative maintenance to the company’s delivery fleet. This will include, but not be limited to:
  • Perform heavy and minor repairs on all trucks and trailers.
  • Service trucks: fuel, grease, and change oil; actively look for needed repairs
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and parts inventory
  • Utilize computer based diagnostic system, skills, knowledge, and experience to determine what repairs need to be done.
  • Participate in Bartlett’s Safety program and help maintain a safe and clean work environment
This is a day shift job, 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday. Overtime available with the potential for weekend hours as necessary. Candidate must be able to meet the demands of a rotating on call schedule as well.

Requirements of a successful Diesel Mechanic
  • High school diploma or GED
  • CDL preferred, but not required
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Here are some of the physical requirements of this role:
  • This job can be physically strenuous
  • You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
  • You will be required to wear PPE
All candidates shall be subject to background checks.
