Job description
Universal Detailing, Inc. (UDI) is a 39 year old steel detailing firm utilizing SDS2 to prepare shop drawings and erection plans for the steel fabrication industry. UDI is seeking an experienced SDS2 Structural Steel Detailer to be part of our in-house detailing team.
Overview
- We are looking to immediately fill the position with a self-motivated individual hoping to further establish their career in the industry.

- Applicants should have immense experience with architectural and structural design drawings.
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Experience using SDS2 is preferred; other drafting program experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of MSOffice and Bluebeam is a plus.
- Salary negotiable based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Modeling and Detailing in SDS2 (including but not limited to columns, beams, connection details, stairs/rails & ladders).
- Strong Knowledge of Contract Documents (Design & Shop drawings, specs,).
- Work in a team oriented office to solve problems.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
