Overview
This is a remote opportunity based out of Miami, Florida.
Pay Range: $35/hr - $50/hr
We are seeking a skilled 3D/Environment Artist to transform a conceptual design into a dynamic, interactive environment. Your main task will involve leveraging procedural geometry trends, specifically Blender’s geometry node method, to construct an animated exterior scene complete with lighting, texturing, and environmental effects.
Objective:
Your ultimate goal is to create a functional environment that can be incorporated into a game engine such as Unreal or Unity. This will be done by bringing to life an existing art direction, creating a scene/node graph that will serve as the foundation for further development of behaviors and interactions in the event setting.
Preferred Experience:
- A proven track record in developing exterior environments for real-time 3D pipelines.
- Film/animation production or game development is ideal.
- "Whimsical” or “fantastical” environments will be beneficial.
- A versatile artist with an understanding of the 3D rendering pipeline.
- Someone who can seamlessly blend design and development to captivate and engage audiences.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrable proficiency with Blender’s (3.0+) Geometry Nodes, preferably with portfolio examples.
- 5+ years of experience in 3D software applications, Blender preferred but experience with similar platforms is acceptable.
- Proven ability to create exterior environments for games, film, or animation.
- Excellent team player and self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced work environment and adeptly handle multiple tasks.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35/hr - $50/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
