Floral Delivery Driver Position:

This is a full-time, or part-time position. Applicants must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including weekends. Delivery drivers are responsible for loading and securing floral arrangements in vans from the flower shop, delivering item to recipient and confirming delivery dates and times for wire service orders. Delivery drivers are also responsible for seasonal greenhouse deliveries when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Load customer orders into the delivery van.

-Inspect floral arrangements for damages, and report any issues to the florist.

-Take arrangements to customers' homes, area hospitals and funeral homes.

-Obtain signatures for proof of receipt.

-Confirm deliveries on wire service orders.

-May be required to assist in floral shop.

-Unpack floral freight deliveries and organize flowers in the workroom, or cooler.

-Receive customer orders and collect payment.

-Price merchandise.

-Clean delivery van, design room and work areas.

-Stock or organize goods.

-Responsible for the maintenance of the delivery van.

-Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while demonstrating a superior level of hospitality when working with customers and staff.

-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. -Must have a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record.

-Experience driving a commercial cargo van.

-Good working knowledge of the Bucks County area.

-General computer knowledge.

-Ability to interact effectively, professionally, and courteously with customers and staff.

-Ability to relate to persons of all ages, diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.

-Comply with a flexible work schedule.

-Able to work in a warm and humid environment.

Education and/or Experience:

-A minimum of a High School diploma, or equivalent, is highly desirable.

Usual and Customary Expectations:

-Should expect constant bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching; and requires full extension of arms, grasping, holding, and pulling in all of these positions.

-Should be able to lift and carry approximately 25 pounds.
