Data Transaction Technician I Job at Romac Industries, Inc.
The Data Transaction Technician I possesses a working knowledge of Romac products and components. An individual in this position, with the use of DBR and Oracle, is responsible for efficiently documenting information that they will use to monitor inventories as well as label and transact work in production. A Data Transaction Technician I will maintain contact with each department via email or face-to-face interaction to ensure all data available is accounted for.
A. Essential Functions
1. Use Oracle and DBR to record data transactions as castings are moved from one location to another in a timely fashion.
2. Accurately identify Romac components and products, and fill out Transaction Log Report with a high degree of accuracy.
3. Work with Foundry Planner to help keep Oracle/DBR data correct.
4. Identify and record scrap.
5. Utilize BOM’s and Routings to create accurate set-ups related to transactions.
6. Leverage complete understanding of Floor Scale Procedure in order to gain accurate counts for product that would otherwise be impractical to count by hand.
7. Follow all safe operating procedures.
8. Evaluate and monitor assigned drums and non-drum constraints.
9. Add notes to jobs late in assigned resources.
10. Report to daily buffer meetings ready to report any issues with late jobs.
11. Edit promise dates in Oracle for accuracy.
12. Meet all company work schedule and attendance expectations, and perform within the physical and environmental demands of the job.
B. Additional Job Responsibilities
1. May work in other areas in the department when able.
C. Minimum Qualifications
1. High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
2. Good keyboarding skills
3. Able to read all reports
4. Strong math skills
5. Good written and verbal communication skills
6. Legible reports, tags, etc.
7. Strong trouble shooting skills
8. Basic computer skills; experience with MS Office programs, Word and Excel primarily
9. Adaptable to change
10. Strong time management skills
D. Additional Preferred Qualifications
1. Able to navigate effectively in both Oracle and DBR
2. Complete understanding of Oracle transaction procedures
3. Complete understanding of DBR transaction procedures
4. Complete understanding of Creating Discrete Jobs Procedure and able to edit jobs in Oracle and DBR with a high degree of accuracy
5. Complete understanding of Floor Scale Procedure
