SUM M A R Y:
The Data Entry Specialist position provides administrative support to the engineering organization.
ESSENTI A L DUTIE S A ND RESPONSIBILITIE S :
Under supervision the individual in this role is expected to:
Responsible for handling large volumes of data entry into company data base systems.
Process field information into a work management system
Type data into system at a speed of 40-60 wpm with minimal error rate
Work independently and follow through on assignments
Meet established deadlines and demonstrate high commitment to achieving goals
Maintain a high energy level with ability to work in fast paced, ambiguous environment
Demonstrate excellent organizational and planning skills
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
CO M PLEXITY OF WORK : Semi-routine; majority of work covered by established procedures.
RE L A T IONSHI P OUTSID E WOR K GROU P : Exchange of information, which occasionally requires tact and/or diplomacy.

Education
Required High school degree or GED.
Preferred Associates degree (AA or equivalent from tw o - y e ar college or technical school).
Experience
0-1 Year(s) Experience in similar support role or performing general administrative duties. Familiarity with utility or engineering office operations is preferred.
L A NGU A G E SKILL S :
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operational procedures, etc.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
M A THE M A T IC A L SKILL S :
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets.
RE A SONIN G A BILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHE R SKILLS A N D A B ILITIES:
- Required computer skills and knowledge of relevant software (MS Office skills)
- Typing rate of 40-60wpm with minimal error rate
- Required knowledge of operation of standard office equipment
- Ability to deal and work well with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
