Job Description
ABC Fitness Solutions is seeking to add a Data Conversion Analyst to our team. This role is responsible for facilitating the manipulation of data from multiple software platforms in order to convert a database from an existing billing system to ABC Fitness Solutions IBM iSeries and the Oracle based software, Datatrak. Processing the conversion using different software tools, such as, Actian, Excel, MS Access, SQL,etc. is a tedious job requiring extreme attention to detail. This position will evaluate the data during the conversion process, identifying exceptions, anomalies, and variations in the data; and document/communicate to the clients.
The Data Conversion Analyst will work with the client throughout the conversion process, continuing the evaluation and review of the data. As well as prepare the data, make the necessary adjustments at an account level, preparing the account to be activated and billed. That Data Conversion Analyst will remain assigned to the client for the entirety of the transitional period to assist them with their acclimation to our company.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Maintain consistent review of the data conversion schedule. Must be constantly aware of all recent and future conversion outlined on the schedule.
  • Review formatted data to ensure all records, fields and tables have been formatted appropriately.
  • Verify all necessary backup and supporting tables are included in the file.
  • Is responsible for verifying the required documentation from the Project Manager has been received according to the timelines established.
  • Review all data conversion documentation provided by the Project Manager and the client. Identify any pre-conversion questions or concerns. Communicate this to the Project Manager.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager and Data Conversion Architect to ensure the success of the conversion.
  • Using Actian, MS Access, SQL and MS Excel; create detailed documentation outlining any and all variations, exceptions, and anomalies in the data.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager and the client regarding all variations and exceptions in the data.
  • Communicate any specific instructions, procedures or processes needed based on requirements of each specific client in the areas of Data Processing, Client Services and any other relevant division of the company
  • Provide post conversion and post amendment documentation to client.
  • Communicate the finalization of the transition period
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree (preferred)
  • Must have minimum 2 + year experience as a Data Conversion Analyst
