Position Summary

Strategically design and implement reporting/databases across the organization. This individual is also responsible for defining BI standards and models for reporting/database architectures and the standards by which self-service data will be delivered to end-users.

Participates in data acquisition and transformation delivery and may provide oversight and technical checkpoints to enforce standards and quality of BI solutions. Researches new technologies, tools, and methodologies as they emerge that may be applicable. Responsible for collaborating with the IT support teams to ensure that technical architecture complies with guidelines and restrictions.

Evaluate reporting requirements for various business units across the organization and leverage business knowledge of reporting tools to develop optimal reporting data layer(s). This role is responsible for working with business partners to ensure that business processes and procedures are aligned with reporting objectives and capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with on-premises and cloud-based SQL database platforms
• 7+ years experience with reporting platforms
• 5+ years of experience with designing, building, and supporting database systems

• 3+ years of experience with Azure Cloud and DevOps
• 3+ years of experience with Snowflake
• 2+ years of experience with data transformation tools like dbt Cloud
• 2+ years of experience with ELT tools like Azure Data Factory and/or Fivetran
• Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices

• Hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis
• Extensive experience independently developing SQL script solutions from scratch working with BI Analysts and Data Modelers.
• Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques
• Proven project management experience
• Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
• Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years experience with financial services data
• 7+ years of experience with Reporting and Data Transformation Tools
• Recent developer experience working with data from loan servicing and origination platforms
• MCSE or MCSA equivalent technical certification
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent technical architecture and technical support documentation skills
• Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards, and products as required
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
