POSITION: Data and Assessment Specialist PK-12 (1.0)Marshfield Public School DistrictSTARTING DATE: As soon as possibleSALARY: To be negotiatedORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP OR LINE OF AUTHORITY: Directly responsible to Director of TechnologyQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; Experience with the following: o Student Information Systems o Google Data Studio o MA DESE Security Portal / Reporting System o Relational database technologies o Data extraction, reporting, and analysis tools Demonstrate a high level of organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills; Work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects; Be detail-oriented and work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment; Communicate clearly both orally and in writing; Maintain confidentiality of staff and student records; Interact effectively with school staff, administrators, parents, vendors, and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education; Demonstrated experience working with student information systems and other data tools.Job Description AttachedMarshfield Public Schools will not be accepting hard copies of resumes and/or applications.Please apply through School Spring.TITLE: Data and Assessment Specialist PK-12JOB GOALS: To provide technical, administrative, and support expertise to maintain the integrity of the data information systems of the Marshfield Public Schools; To function as the primary analyst, manager, and report writer for all district data; To maintain the daily operation, growth, customization, and expansion of the student information system To support the development and coordination of the operations of all information management system activities; To ensure the integrity of the school district data; To ensure that all forms of data are accurate, accessible, and easy to interpret; To build structures and capacity to improve decision-making, outcomes, teaching, and learning. To work with others to analyze data to answer questions, create reports and offer insights into trends and patterns. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the Districts Student Information System (SIS) Administrator; Manage district data systems; establish and ensure accuracy and efficiency in data collection, maintenance, reporting, analysis, and interpretation; Provide leadership, support and training in data management and analysis. Facilitate the accurate transmission of this data for state and federal reporting (including but not limited to SIMS, EPIMS, SCS, SSDR, and CRDC); Ensure data integrity by following district and state data dictionary standards and performing routine data verification activities; Establish and implement protocols for the entry and ongoing maintenance of all student information; Write custom queries, reports, and data exports as needed; Serve as district contact for all data management systems, as directed (including but not limited to Follett, Aspen, Edwin Analytics, Clever, Apptegy, Aesop, Destiny, SNAP, Nutrikids, and others); Maintain and manage imports and exports data among the above mentioned data systems; Serve as district contact and point person for logon and password troubleshooting for users in the above mentioned data systems; Coordinate imports of student assessment results (including but not limited to MCAS, PSAT, SAT, ACT, MAP, and AP examinations) into identified management systems; Document processes, train staff, and provide support for data and data services; Support all buildings in scheduling, grade input, and reporting, as well as data rollover for new school year; Maintain up-to-date knowledge about data information systems and software; Any other general duties as determined by the Director of Technology.
